Reo Hatate has officially left Celtic to join Burnley. The 28-year-old Japanese midfielder made 191 appearances for the Scottish club, scoring 33 goals and providing 31 assists. He won five Scottish Premiership titles, two Scottish Cups, and two Scottish League Cups during his time at Celtic Park. Burnley paid approximately £6.5 million to sign the Japan international (11 caps) on a three-year contract. This move marks Hatate’s first experience of English football, after Celtic originally signed him from Kawasaki Frontale in January 2022 for just £1.4 million.
