QuFi launches post-quantum verification platform with Bitcoin testnet proof

QuFi has launched a post-quantum verification platform accompanied by a proof on the Bitcoin testnet. In August, banks and regulators across Europe, the Middle East and Asia tested post-quantum wallets and onchain transfers using the ML-DSA-65 cryptographic standard, the same one integrated into QuFi’s platform. The Ethereum Foundation abandoned the Poseidon hash function in favor of SHA or BLAKE in its post-quantum architecture. Blockstream researchers published a Bitcoin Improvement Proposal (BIP) for SHRINCS, a post-quantum signature scheme designed to reduce the size and performance costs of quantum-resistant signatures. This approach comes with trade-offs, including the use of stateful signatures that add complexity and potential user error risks.
