Share

The central bank of the Philippines has partially suspended incoming bank transfers to DCPay Philippines, the operator of the Coins.ph electronic wallet. This measure targets the InstaPay and PESONet channels and cuts off the main peso supply channel for the platform, which has over 18 million users. Outgoing transfers to banks and QR Ph code payments remain possible. Betur Inc., the entity licensed for digital asset exchange, is not directly targeted but finds itself deprived of its peso supply channel. No public reason has been communicated and no deadline accompanies this suspension.
