Pando Rings hacker moves 4,000 ETH through Tornado Cash after 4 years

Share

Four years after the 2022 Pando Rings exploit, the attacker has resumed using Tornado Cash to launder the stolen funds. The wallet converted approximately $16.98 million in Dai into 7,548 ETH and then made several 100 ETH transfers worth about $229,000 each. To consolidate the funds, the attacker deposited $16.8 million in USDT as collateral on Aave, borrowed 5,000 ETH and repaid the loan before exchanging $16.7 million in Dai for 7,548 ETH. The attacker ultimately deposited 4,000 ETH into Tornado Cash, leaving 3,548 ETH outside, with no confirmed exchange deposits indicating an immediate sale.
