OpenAI hired Graham Seamans from SpaceX-linked xAI to lead its cybersecurity sales division. Seamans is the third senior sales executive OpenAI has recruited from SpaceX-linked companies in roughly a month, following Brian McCarthy in September 2026 and Ismail Elmas in early October. Before joining xAI in August 2025, Seamans spent approximately eight years at MongoDB, where he served as Regional Vice President in the US and Area Vice President for Northern Europe. At xAI, he led efforts to pitch the Grok chatbot to enterprise customers, particularly Wall Street firms, directly competing against OpenAI’s own products. The hiring spree is led by Dali Rajic, OpenAI’s Chief Revenue Officer who joined in August 2026, as the company intensifies its focus on enterprise sales growth.
