OpenAI held its DevDay 2026 event on September 29 in San Francisco, calling it the “most important to date” with around twenty major announcements. The company introduced autonomous and persistent AI agents called “Dots”, based on GPT-6 Astra, along with a public beta of its Agents API enabling AI to perform complex chained tasks. ChatGPT gains a collaborative workspace and integrated plugins with tools like Canva, Figma, and Adobe. OpenAI also launched GPT-6.1 Sol and a 500 dollars per month pro subscription with access to GPT-6 Astra Ultrafast, accompanied by a software marketplace for businesses.
