Ondo Finance has deployed 15 tokenized stocks and ETFs on Robinhood Chain, where they can be swapped with one another and traded on Ethereum and BNB Chain. Ondo Stocks and Robinhood’s tokenized stocks represent the same securities on a 1:1 basis, like USDC and USDT, while 11 of the products rely on Uniswap V4’s StablePair pools. The architecture is intended to reduce liquidity fragmentation and gives liquidity providers a share of trading fees as well as arbitrage opportunities arising from the few-basis-point differences between issuers. The total value of Ondo’s tokenized assets reached $930 million in late October, up 8% over one month, giving the company a 25% market share and making it the second-largest issuer behind Binance’s bStocks, valued at $1.4 billion. This expansion does not, however, resolve fragmentation between Robinhood Chain, Ethereum and BNB Chain and other networks, particularly Solana and Canton, an obstacle the IMF has identified to the adoption of tokenized stocks.
