Cryptocurrency exchange OKX raised an undisclosed sum from its existing partners and investors, extending a funding round launched in March. In March, OKX had already raised $200 million from Intercontinental Exchange, the parent company of the New York Stock Exchange. New investors include SC Ventures (Standard Chartered), Qube Research & Technologies, Ripple and stablecoin issuer Circle. This funding will be used to transform OKX into a broader global financial technology platform combining crypto technology with standards expected from global financial institutions. A joint venture between OKX and ICE filed with the SEC on Monday to launch a tokenized stock trading platform under the regulator’s new innovation exemption.
