The platform targets emerging markets in Latin America, Africa, South Asia, and the Middle East, offering three stablecoins (USDG, USDC, USDT) with up to 10% annual yield on eligible USDG balances. Intercontinental Exchange, owner of the New York Stock Exchange, invested approximately $20 million in OKX, valuing the exchange at $25 billion. An account protection program, OKX Shield, promises reimbursements of up to $500,000 for VIP users in case of hacks. Crypto platforms have lost an estimated $2.7 billion to hacks this year, according to security firm CertiK.
