OKX and ICE File to Trade 63 Tokenized NYSE Stocks

OKXICE LLC, a joint venture formed by cryptocurrency exchange OKX and ICE, the parent company of the NYSE, filed on October 4 with the US SEC to launch a tokenized stock trading platform. The company seeks approval to offer tokenized shares of 63 NYSE-listed companies under the SEC’s temporary Innovation Exemption framework. ICE acquired a stake in OKX in March at a $25 billion valuation. Tokenized shares must carry the same shareholder rights as the underlying securities, including dividends and voting rights, and trading must stop if the underlying stock is suspended on its primary exchange.
