Oil prices fell on Thursday as traders weighed a report showing Asia is on track to import its highest crude volume since the start of the US-Iran conflict. Brent futures for November delivery slipped 0.52% to $102.54 a barrel, while WTI futures dropped 0.34% to $91.85. According to data from commodity analyst Kpler cited by Reuters, Asia is expected to import 23.96 million barrels per day in September, the highest level since February. The increase comes amid heightened tensions between the United States and Iran, with President Masoud Pezeshkian telling the UN that his country has been a victim of terrorism and will continue to resist.
