More than 90% of the stocks targeted by OKXICE, a joint venture between OKX and Intercontinental Exchange, the parent company of the New York Stock Exchange, have been rejected by their issuers. Apple, Nvidia, Microsoft, Amazon, Tesla and Meta are among the companies that objected to the tokenization of their shares, affecting 57 of the 63 tickers initially proposed. Only six companies in the original lineup have not publicly objected: Strategy, Coinbase, Robinhood, Circle, Securitize and BitGo, although this does not guarantee their availability at launch. The platform must also attract independent liquidity providers, as the median decentralized pool dedicated to tokenized stocks held just $92 on August 31, a situation that could lead to significant price slippage.
