On October 8, 2026, OpenAI’s annualized revenue figure of approximately $50 billion fell short of the $68-70 billion investors had expected, sending Nvidia down roughly 3% and Micron down nearly 5%. The following day, clarification showed OpenAI excludes certain cloud partner revenues from its run-rate calculation, and the company confirmed it expects to reach or exceed $70 billion annualized run rate by December 31, 2026. OpenAI is currently in fundraising talks targeting more than $30 billion at a valuation of around $1.4 trillion.
