A survey commissioned by Uphold and conducted by American Banker reveals that 75% of American banks have blockchain finance programs underway, with 22% having live or scaling projects. The study shows that 54% of banks have issued RFPs for digital asset vendors, while two-thirds have allocated funds for this infrastructure. The main use cases identified are digital wallets (72%) and wealth management (70%). The top three barriers remain cybersecurity concerns (47%), operational risk concerns (47%) and regulatory uncertainty (46%).
