A new VSCode extension allows GitHub Copilot to run models hosted on NEAR AI Cloud, a service built around private inference. This protection relies on Trusted Execution Environments (TEEs), constructed with Intel TDX and NVIDIA confidential computing technologies. User prompts, model weights, and generated outputs are isolated from infrastructure providers, model owners, and NEAR AI itself. Input costs range from approximately $0.15 to $0.50 per million tokens, with the option to stake NEAR tokens as payment. The platform launched in December 2025 and has since integrated the SayGm and OpenRouter gateways.
