Yuga Labs launched Mudwater on October 17, 2026, a physical and digital Bored Ape Yacht Club card collection featuring 120 designs and 2.4 million cards. Distribution is based on a shared supply of 10,000 boxes containing 24 packs each, or 240,000 packs, with 71.34% of the boxes allocated to the community. Each original ape provides entitlement to 10 packs of 10 cards, while each Mutant Ape provides two packs, claimable on Ethereum before January 19, 2027 at 00:00 UTC, after which the packs arrive as NFTs on Solana. Unclaimed packs remain attached to the ape and transfer with it when sold; only an exclusive “Shadow Delegate” arrangement allows another wallet to claim them. Every digital card is backed by a physical copy, and each Mudwater NFT trade carries a 2.5% reflection used to buy APE, in addition to 2.5% royalties.
