Moonshot AI, the Beijing startup behind the Kimi models, is recruiting experienced professionals in Singapore to expand sales and partnerships outside China. The company incorporated its Singapore entity in July 2023 before renaming it Novascent in June 2026. This expansion follows the July 2026 launch of Kimi K3, an open-weight artificial intelligence system with 2.8 trillion parameters whose performance is described as closely competing with Anthropic’s models. Founded in March 2023 by Yang Zhilin, Zhou Xinyu and Wu Yuxin, the company is backed by Tencent, Meituan and China Mobile and reportedly reached a valuation in the tens of billions of dollars in 2026. It now aims to turn its technological advances into international revenue through model services, support and integration.
