Monero has released a new version of its beta stressnet software to prepare for the third round of testing of its upcoming privacy upgrades. The new version is designed to test FCMP++, a major improvement to the transaction privacy architecture, scheduled for October 5. FCMP++ replaces the current decoy system with proofs validating that an input spends one eligible output from the complete set of outputs on the blockchain. This approach significantly expands the anonymity set of transactions while still allowing double spending detection. FCMP++ will also enable additional features such as secure transaction chaining and optional outgoing view keys.
