Monero and Tron Hold Up, Dogecoin Drops 7% – The Altcoin Roundup

During the selloff on Thursday October 8, Monero lost only 2.2% over seven days and Tron 0.7% in 24 hours, while Zcash plunged 18.6% and Dogecoin fell 7% to $0.083. CoinGlass recorded approximately $1.16 billion in liquidations in 24 hours, with over 90% coming from long positions. Bitwise announced the closure of its Dogecoin ETF, listed in New York since November 2025, whose net assets dropped from $1.15 million to $473,547. Since January, Monero is still up 22% and Tron 17%, while Bitcoin is down 7.5% and Ether 18%. Tron hosts over $94 billion in stablecoins, nearly 98% of which is USDT, giving it sustained operating revenue.
