Millennium Management plans first office in Athens, Greece

Hedge fund giant Millennium Management, managing $92 billion in assets, incorporated Millennium Capital Management (Greece) in July 2026 in Athens, with an initial share capital of 100,000 euros. This move is part of a broader exodus from London, as Greece offers a flat annual tax of 100,000 euros on foreign income for qualifying residents, valid for up to fifteen years. Chris Rokos, founder of Rokos Capital Management, also plans to relocate to Greece in September 2026, turning what once seemed coincidental into an industry trend. Fund managers moving to Athens are essentially betting that Greek tax policy remains stable for at least a decade.
