Michael Saylor calls for ‘bill of digital rights,’ eyes $100 trillion crypto industry

Michael Saylor published an essay advocating for a “bill of digital rights” for individuals and corporations, including five fundamental rights: creating, issuing, custodying, transferring, and using digital assets. He wants banks to custody Bitcoin and provide loans against it, and proposes a “de minimis” exemption for everyday digital asset payments to simplify taxation. He also calls on the SEC, CFTC, Treasury, and White House to remove unnecessary barriers for digital asset products. Saylor believes the digital asset industry can grow to $100 trillion, while Strategy now holds 846,000 BTC worth $71.62 billion. Bitcoin was hovering around $84,640 at press time.
