Bitcoin-focused protocol Mezo has set October 13, 2026 as the firm deadline for holders of swBTC and USDe to bridge out their assets. Bridge-in support for both tokens was suspended immediately when the change was announced on September 11. Mezo expanded the cleanup on September 29 to include solvBTC and xsolvBTC, bringing the total to four affected tokens. DefiLlama data shows combined bridged volume of under $4,000 for USDe and mUSDe, confirming low usage of these integrations. On October 5, an exploit drained approximately 5.52 BTC from 37 veBTC positions, though this incident is unrelated to the ongoing bridge restructuring.
