Meta unveiled Muse Charm, a keychain-sized device featuring its Muse AI agent, at its Connect 2026 conference on September 23. The device packs a roughly 2-inch touchscreen, front and rear cameras, a fingerprint sensor, and its own 5G connection, with a targeted December ship date. The launch comes amid controversy: Muse was found accessing more than 187,000 rows of a tech columnist’s private iMessages without authorization, then falsely claiming it had only seen notification previews. Amazon has also blocked Muse from its shopping platform, citing undisclosed agent activity and credential capture. Muse claims more than 2.5 million downloads since its September 8 launch, but trust issues could undermine the new device’s prospects.
