Meta Superintelligence Labs released Muse Spark Open (Max), an 816 billion parameter open-source model with a mixture-of-experts architecture where 42 billion parameters activate per token. The model scored 1511 points on Arena’s Code Arena: WebDev leaderboard, making it the highest-ranked US open model. It runs on two Apple M5 Ultra Mac Studios using the MLX framework, with a one million token context window and multimodal capabilities accepting text, images, video and audio. The model is also available through Baseten, Fireworks AI, Google Cloud Model Garden and Amazon SageMaker. Meta published the weights on Hugging Face in BF16 and NVFP4 formats and reports a score of 89.2 on the MCP-Atlas benchmark.
