Meta denies a tech journalist’s claims that its Muse AI accessed iMessages without permission. David Singleton, head of Meta Superintelligence Labs, admits Muse’s explanation about notification access was wrong, but maintains that syncing requires explicit permission. Amazon blocked Muse on September 21, saying it fails to identify itself while browsing and appears to capture customer login credentials.
