SoftBank invested $64.6 billion in OpenAI for a 13% stake, financed through a $40 billion bridge facility and an $11.1 billion high-yield bond issuance, the world’s largest corporate junk-bond sale. These maneuvers come as OpenAI completed a $122 billion funding round valuing the company at $852 billion.
