Martin Shkreli launched two memecoins, CITRINI and MARTIN, on Pump.fun, the Solana memecoin launchpad, on Monday. Less than 24 hours after their launch, these two tokens had already crashed by 94 % to 97 % from their all-time highs. The MARTIN token saw its market capitalization drop to approximately $150,000, falling from $0.0031 to $0.00016. This catastrophic performance follows a recurring pattern for Shkreli, whose previous memecoins, MSI in 2022 and DJT in 2024, also plunged by over 90 % after wallets linked to the creator dumped tokens on buyers.
