Liverpool FC has reportedly agreed a five-year front-of-shirt sponsorship deal with Turkish Airlines worth £300 million, approximately £60 million per season. This figure represents roughly a 20% increase over the £50 million annually paid by current sponsor Standard Chartered, whose partnership with the club dates back to the 2010/11 season. The new contract would begin from the 2027/28 season. Liverpool posted record commercial revenues of £323 million for the 2024-25 fiscal year. Turkish Airlines is majority-owned by the Turkish government’s sovereign wealth fund, placing this partnership in the category of state-adjacent sponsorships increasingly common in European football.
