Ledger confirms draining cases linked to CryptoBilis-sold devices

Ledger confirmed that an unauthorized hardware implant was found in at least one device sold by reseller CryptoBilis, giving attackers access to users’ recovery phrases. Estimated losses range from $72 million to $93.2 million, drained from 311 to 315 wallets across multiple blockchains. Approximately $70 million was in USDT on the Tron blockchain. Tether froze approximately $10 million tied to this incident. CryptoBilis has ceased operations pending an investigation, while Ledger stressed that its own systems and direct sales channels were not affected.
