Ledger Confirms Hardware Implant as Tampered Wallet Reports Allegedly Spread to Europe

Ledger has confirmed that at least one wallet among affected users contained an unauthorized hardware implant. Estimated losses exceed 86 million dollars across 311 wallets on five chains. A new report suggests a Ledger device purchased from MediaMarkt in Europe also shows signs of potential hardware manipulation, which would extend the scope of the incident beyond Southeast Asia. The situation in Europe remains unconfirmed by the manufacturer, but the company is working with authorities and has contacted affected users. Ledger has stated that its own systems and services have not been compromised.
