Changpeng Zhao, founder of Binance, met with Kazakhstan’s Deputy Prime Minister Zhaslan Madiyev in Astana on September 4. The two parties signed two memoranda covering stablecoin issuance and digital payment frameworks. A partnership with Alatau City Bank will deploy Binance Pay in Kazakhstan. The country is also developing two major projects: CryptoCity in Alatau and Data Center Valley, backed by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. With the Alem Crypto Fund, this initiative aims to position Kazakhstan as a regional digital asset hub.
