CBS News will broadcast Kalshi’s real-time odds, a prediction market regulated by the CFTC, during its midterm election coverage. A Reuters/Ipsos poll conducted from September 30 to October 5, 2026 among 4,506 US adults found that 60% oppose betting on election results, versus only 13% in support. Current Kalshi data gives Democrats a 63% chance of controlling the Senate and 91% for the House of Representatives. Opposition crosses party lines: 69% of Democrats and 61% of Republicans disapprove, while 65% oppose contracts on military actions and 63% on government policy decisions. CBS is not Kalshi’s first media partner, as the company already signed deals with CNN, CNBC, and the Associated Press in 2025 and 2026.
