Japan’s largest corporate leaders are calling for a stronger yen, saying the currency is too weak for the national economy. Kawasaki Heavy Industries says if the yen reaches 150 against the dollar, it would consider moving its manufacturing from the United States back to Japan. Inpex, which earns 90% of its revenue in dollars, would prefer a yen at 100, while Mitsui O.S.K. Lines favors a stable level between 150 and 155. The Bank of Japan concludes a two-day policy meeting on Friday, with investors expecting a 25 basis point rate hike to 1.25%.
