IPX, formerly LINE FRIENDS, plans to introduce minicoin payments across the brand’s online and physical stores. The phased rollout, targeted for the first half of 2027, will connect LINE FRIENDS commerce with the Web3 ecosystem and provide customers in Korea and abroad with an additional option for purchasing physical products. Minicoin is a utility coin developed and issued by Mini Labs under a license for IPX’s minini character. Its blockchain-based ecosystem is designed to record activities generated by interactions between fans and characters, including creation, consumption and transactions, and link them to registration and settlement processes.
