InDrive plans 2027 robotaxi tests in Kazakhstan with Pony.ai and Nvidia

InDrive plans to test autonomous vehicles in Astana, Kazakhstan, in the first half of 2027 in partnership with Pony.ai and Nvidia. Pony.ai will provide seventh-generation vehicles offered through InDrive’s existing app, while Nvidia will supply the Hyperion computing platform and Halos safety system. The project builds on agreements signed with Kazakh authorities in 2025 and 2026, including a possible pilot route from the airport. It coincides with Nvidia’s expanding infrastructure in the country: Kazakhtelecom has deployed 400 H200 GPUs and 480 B300 GPUs in Astana and Almaty and plans more than 1,000 additional units in 2027. The start is a testing phase rather than a commercial launch, with success depending notably on the airport route and the size of the initial fleet.
