The Hyper Foundation controls approximately 48.9% of all staked HYPE tokens on Hyperliquid, a Layer 1 blockchain built around a perpetuals DEX. A total of 436 million HYPE are staked, representing 43.6% of the total 1 billion supply. The Foundation’s five validators hold respective shares of 12.73%, 12.70%, 12.02%, 7.95%, and 3.50%, with a current staking APR ranging from 2.1% to 2.4%. In December 2025, a governance vote to burn 37.5 million HYPE passed with 85% support, illustrating this concentration. No initiative has been announced to diversify validator power or gradually reduce the Foundation’s participation.
