HIVE Digital Technologies plans to add 100 MW to its hydroelectric data center campus in Yguazú, Paraguay, bringing total capacity to 400 MW by Q3 2026. The site, powered by the Itaipú Dam, has already grown from 200 MW in April 2025 to 300 MW in September 2025, currently producing approximately 8.5 BTC per day. The company has committed over $400 million to its Paraguay operations since acquiring the site from Bitfarms in January 2025, with $130 million allocated to construction. HIVE targets global Bitcoin mining capacity of 35 exahashes per second by end of 2026, up from 22 EH/s in October 2025. An AI factory with 100 MW is also expected to come online in the second half of 2027.
