HIVE Digital Technologies, listed on the TSX and Nasdaq under the ticker HIVE, conducted an artificial intelligence research project in partnership with Columbia University. The computations were performed on Nvidia A40 GPUs located in Asunción, Paraguay, while researchers worked remotely from New York, approximately 5,000 miles away. The project, conducted between March and June 2026, demonstrated that A40 GPUs can achieve performance comparable to H100 chips for pre-training language models up to 1.4 billion parameters. The collaboration produced enough data to support a submission to the NeurIPS conference. HIVE currently operates 300 MW of hydroelectric capacity in Paraguay and expects a new 100 MW substation to energize by September 2026.
