Bitcoin has risen 42% over the past three months since July, but the US midterm elections scheduled for November 3, 2026 could hinder this bullish trend. Analyst Ali Martinez points out that after the 2010, 2014, 2018, and 2022 elections, BTC price fell by 72%, 65%, 52%, and 27% respectively. The fourth quarter also shows unfavorable patterns with losses of 16.7% in Q4 2014, 42.16% in Q4 2018, and 14.75% in Q4 2022. Martinez recommends taking profits in late October before a potential rise toward $100,000, then buying back around $73,000 after the elections, a level near the short-term holder cost basis.
