Google’s Gemini agents find new proofs for five unsolved math problems

Google DeepMind’s Gemini-powered math agents have found proofs for five unsolved math problems using a team of AI agents whose work is verified by automated checking systems. The AlphaProof Nexus framework resolved 9 out of 353 previously unsolved Erdős problems, including two that had stumped mathematicians for 56 years. The same system proved 44 out of 492 conjectures listed in the OEIS, at a computational cost of a few hundred dollars per problem. The Aletheia system, deployed in December 2025, evaluated approximately 700 open Erdős problems and identified or created solutions for 13 of them, including four novel autonomous resolutions.
