The Spend Caps feature alerts users at 50%, 80%, and 100% thresholds before automatically pausing services, while an AI Cost Summary Agent analyzes spending patterns and flags anomalies. Google has also reduced output token pricing for the Gemini 3.6 Flash model by 17% and lowered the AI Plus subscription to $4.99 per month while doubling storage to 400GB. The platform reports a sevenfold increase in AI token consumption year-over-year, reaching approximately 3.2 quadrillion tokens per month. Businesses processing roughly 1 trillion tokens per day could save over $1 billion annually by shifting 80% of their workloads to the cheaper Flash models.
