Foxconn chairman Young Liu announced on Friday, October 30, 2026, in Taipei that the company was preparing a new collaboration with OpenAI, without detailing its scope, timeline or financial terms. After meeting OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, Liu said he saw no AI bubble and forecast double-digit growth for Foxconn next year. The company currently holds 40% of the global AI server market and aims to reach 45% in 2027. Foxconn and OpenAI already reached a deal in November 2025 to co-design and manufacture components for US data centers, with no financial obligations but early hardware evaluation access and purchase options. Key developments to watch include disclosure of firm orders, expansion of Texas production capacity and confirmation of the double-digit growth forecast.
