Fortitude sold 5,790 ZEC from a loan facility with its parent company Digital Currency Group for approximately $8.3 million. The company ordered 9,000 Antminer Z15 Pros at $3,499 each, totaling approximately $31.5 million, with delivery scheduled for 3,000 machines in October and 6,000 in November. DCG’s facility is denominated and repayable in US dollars, meaning Fortitude is not required to repurchase the same amount of ZEC. Fortitude also plans an additional $20 million draw for a potential next-generation equipment arrangement potentially worth up to $100 million. The addition of 9,000 machines could reduce existing miners’ coin output by approximately 20% after difficulty adjusts.
