Fortitude Mining Holdings, a subsidiary of Digital Currency Group, has increased its credit facility from $26 million to $50 million to fund the expansion of its Zcash mining infrastructure. The company plans to acquire 9,000 Bitmain Antminer Z15 Pro ASIC miners and reach over 60 megawatts of installed capacity across its US sites, notably in Grand Island and Prosser, Nebraska. Fortitude has chosen to draw the facility in ZEC rather than USD, creating a natural hedge against cryptocurrency price volatility. The company targets a production cost of approximately $40 per ZEC at an optimized power rate near $0.045 per kilowatt-hour. Fortitude has also announced plans to go public through a business combination with HeartSciences Inc., a Nasdaq-listed company, under the new ticker symbol TUDE.
