Tina Oberoi, a former employee at xAI and Google, is seeking to raise approximately $50 million in seed funding for her startup Moir. The company is building tools that enable individuals to verify and prove their identity online amid the proliferation of deepfakes, AI-generated content depicting people saying or doing things they never actually did. According to Bloomberg, no investors have been confirmed yet and no round has closed.
