Lazaro Campos, the former CEO of Swift, has been appointed chairman of the board of OpenTrade, a London-based stablecoin yield company. Founded in 2023, OpenTrade provides infrastructure that allows fintechs, neobanks and exchanges to offer dollar- and euro-denominated returns backed by real-world assets. The company lists JPMorgan, BlackRock, Franklin Templeton and Fidelity among its institutional partners. After raising 17 million dollars in May 2026, bringing its cumulative funding to 32 million dollars, OpenTrade reports managing more than 300 million dollars in assets and processing over 600 million dollars in cumulative transaction volume. Campos brings experience in traditional cross-border payments to OpenTrade, whose growth will depend on factors including compliance, the health of its yield sources and the development of the stablecoin market.
