Eli Lilly is scheduled to report third-quarter earnings and revenue on Thursday, boosted by the success of its obesity drug Zepbound and diabetes treatment Mounjaro. According to an LSEG analyst survey, earnings per share are expected to reach $6.26, while revenue is forecast at $22.61 billion. Investors will also be watching the launch of the group’s new obesity pill, Foundayo, which entered the market in April and is expected to generate around $229 million in sales. Despite lower net prices in the United States, this strong performance in diabetes and obesity is driving a major acquisition spree, including a deal to buy a psychedelics drugmaker and plans to purchase three vaccine makers.
