After Balogun completed his medical examination, Everton requested a renegotiation of the financial terms, which Balogun refused, citing concerns raised by the club’s medical department. This collapse also prevented Monaco from selling midfielder Lamine Camara to Chelsea, as both clubs had been operating in anticipation of the Balogun deal being finalized. The American player, under contract with Monaco until 2028, is now reportedly being considered for destinations in Turkey or Saudi Arabia.
