The naval blockade of Iranian ports and the Strait of Hormuz has paralyzed oil exports, worsening the country’s financial pressures. About 60 entities, vessels, and individuals have been added to the US sanctions list. On prediction markets, the probability of crude oil reaching a new all-time high by September 30 is priced at only 2%, while the likelihood of a US announcement ending the blockade by December 31 is priced at 60%.
