Axios reported earlier today that Visa was in late-stage talks to acquire Fireblocks for around $2.5 billion. Fireblocks rejected the claim, saying it was news to the company and was not true at the time. A company spokesperson confirmed they were aware of the rumors regarding a possible acquisition by Visa.
